Nun ist es beschlossene Sache. Die Roma bekommt ein neues Stadion.
Die Bürgermeister von Rom, Virginia Raggi, hat dem Bau eines privaten Stadions auf einem verlassenen Gelände zugestimmt. Insgesamt soll das Projekt zwei Milliarden Euro kosten und innerhalb von drei Jahren fertig sein. Die neue Arena steht im Rom-Viertel Tor di Valle. Derzeit befindet sich dort eine verlassene Pferde-Rennbahn. Rund um das Stadion sollen auch Hochhäuser, ein Businesspark, Restaurants und Hotels gebaut werden. Das neue Stadion soll Platz für 60000 Zuschauer bieten. Im Moment teilen sich Lazio Rom und AS Rom noch das Olympiastadion.
